VGMix 3.0 - Javascript / HTML / CSS Wizard

"yerfatma" recently posted a perfectly-worded listing seeking someone with experience in XHTML, CSS and JavaScript, with a strong opinion about their favorite JavaScript library and a love of browser consistency and attention to detail. I am looking for precisely the same type of person, but I'm paying. We are a well loved, self-funded hobbyist site where members submit and critique arrangements of video game music. I've spent the past three years watching volunteer after volunteer get caught up in school, crushed with day jobs, or simply unmotivated. We're almost a year late on our projected re-launch date, and the natives are restless. I'm willing to hire someone to help get the site launched this year to break the flake-out cycle. You'd be a hero to several thousand nerds. We're close, but we still need Javascript magic and an experienced hand on the markup (alongside the ongoing backend development). We have a complete visual design / theme, so we just need help writing Django templates and spicing them up with Javascript interactivity. The site will allow for custom theming so if you'd like to design your own, zen-garden style, we'd welcome it and I'd do something nice for you! Our team's culture is very friendly and informal - we've hacked various versions of the site together since 2001, and are close friends who hang out on IRC. Design skills are a plus, but we're more concerned with your programming skill than your abilities as a designer. We want someone located in the NYC area. We work as a tightly integrated team, so we'll need you onsite. We have a great team comprised of business people, Flash developers and back-end scripters. A bit of basic web coding--probably PHP and DHTML

I need a page that is a form where people can write an email and click send and it's sent to a specified address. Simple enough. However, I also need: - to have a checkbox that says "CC blahblah" and when that box is checked, it also CCs the letter to blah blah and when the box is NOT checked, it doesn't CC blah blah but it does send an email to blah blah to tell them that a letter was sent so that they can keep track of how effective the campaign is. Further, I need a "Sample" letter to toggle when the person clicks "View/Hide Sample Letter". That's it. us$100 flat sent via Paypal. (I'm just guessing that this is probably 20 - 60 minutes work for someone who knows what they're doing but if I'm wrong and way off on the pay, pls let me know.) Must work within Expression Engine (which allows all PHP to be run) and on a Dreamhost server. Must be done by Monday, May 14. Whenever I've posted jobs like this before, I've gotten great response. If you want to do the job, pls let me know why I should pick you as 20 "I'll do it!" letters all look the same. Questions? Bring 'em on!
