Graphic Designer who knows Microsoft Access/VBA?

I am a graphic designer at a distributing company who has (mostly) automated most parts of his job. I am off to grad school and need to find and train a replacement(s). We could do two part-timers, but one full-timer would be best.

The more of the tasks below you can do, the better. If you can only do one half, send us your resume anyway.

Here is what I currently do and the skills I use to do them:
Adobe Photoshop:
• Take photographs of items. (own a digital camera? a plus!)
• Create clipping paths of items.
• Color correct photos. (if you know who Dan Margulis is, thats a plus!)

Adobe InDesign:
• Lay out sales sheets.
• Compile automated InDesign docs into one file and export to PDF for press.

Microsoft Access:
• Update Microsoft Access database from flat text files.
• Construct queries.
• Troubleshoot code in VBA.
• Write VBA to drive Adobe InDesign.

Again, the more you cross that bridge from "Creative Suite" to "Office", the better.

Verity / Access / Web admin

A mid-size financial services firm is seeking an experienced professional who can (1) maintain and improve our high-volume, mission-critical Verity document systems, (2) maintain and improve our proprietary MS Access-based data systems, (3) take on projects selectively integrating or cross-updating our Verity and MS Access systems, and (4) maintain and improve our promotional website.

The core functions of this position must be performed independently and in satisfaction of the needs of non-technical staff in other departments of the Firm. As such, a high degree of experience with the technology in question, a high degree of personal reliability and integrity, and strong business communication skills are all critical.

Given the independent and professional character of the support required, we will consider filling this need on a contracting basis, but would require that we be the contractor's principal client and that the contractor be based in or near New York City and be regularly available via onsite or remote connection. We will also consider filling this position on a full-time employee basis; if employed, we will also ask the person hired to use downtime to share in the support of other applications and systems with our broader IT department.

Please submit resumes and compensation requirements to the below e-mail address. Your application package MUST include clear and specific statements of the degree and source of experience with the referenced applications and with the approrpiate underlying systems.
