MarketTools is defining a new market and we are looking for an innovative UX designer to help us create an entirely new experience. A leading provider in online marketing research products and technology, MarketTools is now defining a new Customer Insight Management (CIM) market, similarly to the way SFA led to the emergence of CRM. We believe great user experience design is critical to our success, and you will play a key strategic role in creating the world&#8217;s leading Research 2.0 SaaS product platform. In this highly visible role, you will apply your passion and expertise in user-centric design methodology and application interaction design to create compelling, valuable and highly usable experiences. You thrive in a high ownership, collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, where you take on a domain leadership role in designing our next generation SaaS platform user experience.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate on cross-functional design teams comprised of domain experts in marketing research, SaaS web 2.0 technology, and communities management. 
Apply user-centered design processes to create award winning user experiences for web-based applications. 
Design interaction models, workflows and information architectures. 
Produce user interface specifications, wireframes, and sitemaps. 
Create visual user interface designs 

Qualifications: 
&#8226;	BS/BA or MS/MFA degree in Graphic Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction or equivalent work experience. 
&#8226;	3+ years of experience creating interaction designs for Web applications. 
&#8226;	Solid understanding of UCD principles and interaction design skills. 
&#8226;	Strong visual/graphical interface design skills. 
&#8226;	Ability to work collaboratively with other designers and team members, cross-functional domain experts and other stakeholders; receptive to feedback and direction from others. 
&#8226;	Strong detail orientation, and an obsession for accuracy and consistency. 
&#8226;	Clear, organized written and oral communication and presentation skills. 
&#8226;	Excellent analytical skills. 
&#8226;	Understanding of underlying technical concepts. 
&#8226;	Expert knowledge of the use of Photoshop, Fireworks, and/or Illustrator. 
&#8226;	Ability to provide portfolio examples of relevant interaction design work.

&lt;b&gt;Overview&lt;/b&gt;
Builder Homesite, Inc. (BHI), a leading Web software developer, is seeking a full-time Information Architect to work at our offices in Austin, TX.
The Information Architect will design easy-to-use, measurably successful user experiences for our Web-based applications by exploring creative ways to harmonize user behaviors, business needs, and available content.
This position will primarily work across teams in our EX Squared Solutions group to develop high-profile consumer websites, intranet and extranet applications for our contract customers.
The ideal candidate will be strongly self-motivated, but will also routinely collaborate with product managers, business analysts, project leads, client representatives, and other BHI Technology staff.

&lt;b&gt;Essential functions&lt;/b&gt;
The Information Architect will:
&#8226;	Analyze product feature roadmaps, requirements and specifications to identify usability issues and recommend solutions
&#8226;	Facilitate task analyses, usability testing and heuristic evaluation
&#8226;	Define taxonomies, schemas, and other information structures, working independently, with subject matter experts, or with user groups
&#8226;	Create site maps and interaction flow diagrams
&#8226;	Design user interface prototypes and artifacts such as wireframes, storyboards, style guides, etc.
&#8226;	Collaborate with visual designers and front-end developers to create &amp;amp; refine UI concepts and page designs
&#8226;	Write solution sketches, usability reports, and other documentation

&lt;b&gt;Qualifications&lt;/b&gt;
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate their ability to meet the following requirements:
&#8226;	Minimum 2 years experience leading user-centered design practices (UCD, UX, IA, ID, HCI, etc.) for consumer e-commerce websites
&#8226;	Expert knowledge of interaction design patterns
&#8226;	Ability to create rapid UI prototypes with common modelling tools (Visio, OmniGraffle, Photoshop, etc.)
&#8226;	Familiarity with market-mature Web standards (XHTML 1.0, CSS2, WCAG, etc.)
&#8226;	Strong sense of aesthetics, layout &amp;amp; design as appropriate for enterprise-class websites
&#8226;	Superlative communication skills, both written and verbal
&#8226;	Extreme attention to detail, consistency, and quality
&#8226;	Ability to work unsupervised, self-manage deliverables, and multi-task concurrent projects
&#8226;	Experience with Web marketing techniques (SEO, scannable copywriting, email marketing, etc.) a plus
&#8226;	Experience with RIA design patterns for rich Internet applications (Ajax, Flex, etc.) a plus
