move a futon between two Brooklyn locations
June 2, 2010 2:21 PM

I am purchasing this very nice looking futon/sofa bed for only $40. If it's as nice as it looks, it's a heck of a deal, but the bargain threatens to be offset by the price of hiring movers, most of whom have a two-hour minimum.

I would like to do it this coming Friday, in the afternoon or early evening. I don't have a car or a license. The drive should take about ten minutes. Both locations are on the third floor, and it will probably be necessary to take the stairs in both cases.

The rate is negotiable, but the whole idea is to be a lot cheaper than a regular mover. If you like, you could have your picture and/or a URL of your choice in my upcoming blog post on miconian.com about this experience. (Or, if you want to stay incognito, that's ok too.)
