Senior Content Manager for nonprofit technology resource

Senior Content Manager, TechSoup.org (Regular, Full time, Exempt)

Position Summary: This position reports to the Senior Director of Community. The Senior Content Manager will manage a team of 7 content developers. The role requires an ability to work on cross-functional issues, implement strategic policies, and establish work plans and performance requirements. The Senior Content Manager will play a key role in setting the content strategy for the TechSoup.org and TechSoupforlibraries.org sites, act as publisher for TechSoup.org, as well as improving our current processes to maximize our impact on nonprofits, NGOs, and public libraries; will lead and manage the team of content developers in prioritizing projects, managing resources, and creating and editing content as needed. The manager will work closely with other parts of the organization at all levels to ensure that our content supports and enhances our product donation and community offerings. The role requires an individual to have enthusiasm for staff management, and the desire to produce accessible, readable, and accurate technical content to enhance the technical capacity of thousands of nonprofits, NGOs, and public libraries worldwide. Major Duties and Responsibilities: · Work with Director and key staff to craft and implement a content strategy for TechSoup.org and TechSoupforlibraries.org in coordination. · Provide leadership and supervision to a team of seven creative content developers. · Act as publisher for TechSoup.org. · Act as the point of contact for in-depth content strategy discussions and content requests. · Represent the team on cross-functional projects. · Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules and work plans. · Enforce style guidelines across the organization in coordination with the Communications Department. · Set up actionable usage metrics in coordination with TSG Reporting team. · Prioritize projects and fully utilize resources internal to the group as well as external to the group. · Develop and manage the editorial calendar and schedule for publishing content across target audiences and programs. · Work with Development team on content related grants as needed. Qualifications: Education and Experience

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: · Experience managing grants preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
