Humanities Librarian
September 25, 2006 7:26 PM

Calling all mefi-brarians! Come work at a growing academic library in the Midwest. We offer boundless opportunities for anyone who wants to provide innovative services to users and make a real contribution to campus, almost unreasonably warm and friendly coworkers, and a kickass dean who values those who cut the usual academic crap and get to work.

As the Humanities Librarian, you would:

*Provide reference and research services, library instruction, and collection development for the Departments of English and Modern Languages.
*Function as an effective, proactive liaison to the faculty and students of the Departments.
*Support the Information Literacy component of the university-wide Student Learning Outcomes initiative.
*Work as a team member with K-State Libraries' faculty and staff, contributing to a positive environment that promotes library use and information literacy to the university and community.

We're willing to hire brand new library school grads; this is more about a mindset and an attitude than specific work experience. Tenure-track position. Cover letter, CV, and 3 references to apply. Must hold an MLS from an ALA accredited institution.
