Packaging of open-source project

I am the author of an open-source scientific software project for UNIX platforms, which I would like to see more widely available. I'm comfortable with the process for homebrew-science on OS X, but would like help in making the software available through yum, apt-get etc. for Red Hat and Debian-flavored Linux platforms. You would be compensated for writing a package and getting it onto common distribution networks for open source software for Linux platforms, and preparing some small document that explains how to maintain it as new versions of software are released.
payscale: Payment is negotiable, but I'm out of pocket on this one, so it would have to be reasonable.
