The Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA Family Center) is currently recruiting for eight new AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) positions. Two recruits are needed to help build capacity for the NAYA Early College Academy, and individual recruits are needed to aid finance, sustainability, community partnerships, youth services, volunteer recruitment and employment and housing.
VISTAs are expected to commit to one full year of full-time service with no outside commitments. Members receive training, health coverage and a monthly living stipend and are eligible for moving and childcare benefits. Upon successful completion, VISTAs may qualify to receive a $4725 educational award or a $1200 cash stipend. NAYA Family Center VISTA members will also be required to attend a limited number of evening and weekend events, such as the Spring Gathering/Honoring Ceremony.
