Sed/Awk programmer (short-term contract)

I am an academic looking for someone who is skilled at sed/awk to help with a paper I am working on. In a nutshell, I will give you pdfs of every single paper published in one journal between 2001-2011 (~ guess about 1200 files)
All the PDFs will be OCRed (i.e. none of them will be scanned images like older journal articles).
Your job will be to write code that will search for specific text indicating that the paper has a supplement, and possibly attached code or data. For example some papers will say "We have included all the code and data in a supplement' while others will just use the journal's preset format "Supplement A: code...". After that I can just get one of my students to go through the code/data for each of those papers.
